As the snow melts, hidden litter becomes easier to see…but also easier to collect! La Perle Community League invites you and your family to get involved in tidying your yard and helping beautify your neighbourhood.
The community cleanup will be happening on Saturday April 24th. You can start whenever you wish. If you see one of our community league board members please ask us for a cleanup kit (we have 10 available) which consists of gloves, GLAD garbage bags, and a litter grabber. Place all collected garbage with your household waste for your regularly scheduled curbside pickup.
Due to the restrictions placed on group gatherings, we ask that families and those living in the same household participate in this activity together, and are reminded to:
- Wear gloves
- Wash hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitizer
- Disinfect the litter grabber or any other tool used before and after use, and store it in a safe location
- Secure and dispose of all litter and garbage bags in appropriate disposal locations
- Report needles, graffiti or other hazardous litter by calling 311.
